LAMv2 #6 It's coming home ~ Welcome back to Leadenhall

After an understandable absence from our central London venue it is time to head back and restart the new event which is of course subject to the prevailing restrictions and guidelines. As such some of the options and features below may be subject to change, in particular the capacity for tickets and the option for an after party.

As many are out of the practice of socialising, we also ask you to be mindful of the following:

• Not everyone is ready for full contact encounters
• Please be mindful of your alcohol intake
• Communicate with people from a respectful distance until you have established boundaries and limits
  

The event is planned as shopping during the day and social / after party in the evening (subject to restrictions changing in July). We are selling tickets in 3 hour time slots for this event to enable enough room for those who want to remain socially distanced at this time. It is our hope that all future events at Leadenhall will return to an all day ticket format.

During the shopping portion there is likely to be no bar or food service due to staff shortages in the hospitality industry. If this changes we will notify all ticket holders. The Afterparty will have bar service, (subject to restrictions changing in July).

In the Vault we will be offering two Newbie orientation workshops a Healthy Mental Practices session with @TheKinkShrink and a workshop. All of these sessions will be limited to 30 tickets, entry will be restricted to those who have also purchased an event ticket.

Our return to Leadenhall gives us capacity to once again assemble the finest collection of Fetish and alternative traders back to the world’s largest fetish shopping and party event in the heart of London. Since 2006 LAM has provided a welcoming and Kink+ space to explore your desires within a clear framework of policies and procedures. LAM events include a vast educational archive hosted on YouTube and accessible from our home page to help our guests navigate kink as safely as possible through an understanding that we are all responsible for our own boundaries, both in setting and maintaining them.

Spread over three and a half floors (the mezzanine dining area is the only non-accessible part of the venue (re regret the lift is malfunctioning this month)) we host a range of kink traders from clothes and toys to books and furniture with the majority of traders specialising in custom work. There is ample socialising space within the venue and the LAMnet wifi network will give you access to the workshops if you don't have a ticket.

Subject to restrictions we will have workshops in the vault along with Healthy Mental Practices with @TheKinkShrink with sessions streamed over our LAMnet wifi network.

To manage numbers shopping is being split into two shifts from 12pm-3pm and 3pm-6pm.  Advance tickets will be entered into a draw for £50 on the day LAM cash to spend with any stall.  Guests are requested to lateral flow test on the day of the event in the same way that the crew and stalls do.  This is the most effective way to ensure that you reduce the risks to yourself and others and should you test positive we will happily refund your ticket and give you a discount against a future ticket for when you are able to attend for doing the right thing. 

The event is Kink+ and open to anyone who accepts the positive role that kink plays in our lives and those who want to engage to create positive and welcoming communities. We ask all guests to watch the newbie guest orientation material on our website and to follow the clearly posted signs while attending the event.

At the end of the daytime event we clear out the stalls and convert the venue into a multi zoned play party. The lowest floor accommodates two play areas, one roped off and the other less supervised. Bondage has the priority in the vault where the setting adds to the atmosphere and creates some amazing memories as the thick walls help to hold a unique atmospheric play space.

There is no dress code for LAM events and streetwear is perfectly acceptable although alternative and fetish is always encouraged. Due to the licensing, nudity, exposed female nipples or sexual acts are not permitted.

Wristbands are available to denote you contact preferences but please do take the time to ask people even if you have not already had those conversations between each other, things can change from day to day.  The crew and volunteers are on hand to help you should you need assistance or clarification and the front desk always has someone who can help you if needed.

Covid regulations

The event is fully compliant with covid regulations and the guidelines for England which apply to all events apply to this one as well.

Sanitation stations are present throughout the event which guests, crew and traders are encouraged to use. The crew and traders will have all tested with lateral flow test kits on the morning of the event, we encourage others to do the same now that the kits are more widely available.

Show you clear lateral flow test kit in a sealed bag on arrival to get a free raffle ticket and a chance to win £30 of ticket vouchers, winner announced 1 hour before event closes. If you fail your test or need to isolate because of symptoms or track and trace let us know and in addition to refunding your tickets we will also put you in for a draw for £30 for doing the right thing and staying away. Please don't attend if your symptomatic or concerned you might be, always test and know for your safety and ours.
