LancsCAN Lunch & Learn - Arts & Culture
Join us for the June edition of our Lunch & Learn series. This month we will be hearing from Down to Earth and Lancaster Arts, talking about their work and it’s connection to nature and the environment.
Down to Earth invite residents of Wigan to shape and create local, national, and international art across the borough that happens within minutes, rather than hours, of our homes, schools, and safe spaces - focusing on green spaces and community hubs as sites for cultural engagement.
Lancaster Arts are producing an exciting new commission called Are you Lost? with artist, Rob St John alongside the Forest of Bowland National Landscape. Are You Lost? is part of the national programme called Nature Calling with executive producers Activate Performing Arts and the National Landscapes Association. Are You Lost? welcomes you into the heart of the Forest of Bowland to discover the stories that shape the landscape, from the people who live close by, through a series of sound, film and textile installations.
As always there will be opportunities for Q&A, and for networking and sharing your news at the end of the presentations.
The aim of these events is to allow members to showcase what they’re doing, spread the word about upcoming opportunities, and support peer-to-peer learning. We also hope they will strengthen the network through interaction and help build the LancsCAN community.
