Lancashire Climate Action Network (LancsCAN) was formed in June 2023 with the aim of mobilising Lancashire’s community voice and action on climate change, working collaboratively with others to advance the county’s climate agenda. We are a growing network of community-oriented organisations in Lancashire involved in various climate action fronts, including energy, biodiversity and wildlife, food, green and blue spaces, transport and mobility, housing and buildings, recycling and waste management. We are seeking to work with Lancashire’s councils and political leaders to realise the climate, environment and other relevant priorities of the Lancashire 2050 Plan. All three of Lancashire’s universities – Edge Hill University, Lancaster University and University of Central Lancashire – are working together to support LancsCAN’s development.
