Lancashire Social Value Network

Be part of the next Lancashire Social Value Network event taking place on 25 November.
- At the event, we will have a collaborative, participatory conversation on the theme of can we make social value work better for those facing challenges in accessing employment?
- We will also provide a preview of Match My Project Lancashire, a tool designed to make it easier to deliver social value across Lancashire.
- There will be enhanced structured networking opportunities, including the option to host a challenge table or exhibit.
Making social value work harder for those facing challenges in accessing employment
We are two years into Lancashire's 10-year, county-wide journey to increase employment and reduce economic inactivity by bringing together work, health and skills in a joined-up way. A key part of this is helping residents, particularly those facing barriers such as ill health, disability, caring responsibilities or other disadvantages, to access and sustain good-quality employment. Social value has an important role to play through the provision of opportunities, resources and support.
This co-created session will feature discussions on how social value currently works for these groups and what, collectively, we can do as procurers, suppliers and employers to use social value as a tool to support people who do not always benefit from the opportunities it creates and explore ideas and potential solutions.
An overview of Match My Project Lancashire
Muhsin Mzee from Lancashire County Council's Community Engagement and Place-Based Working Team will introduce Match My Project Lancashire.
Match My Project is a matching platform that helps organisations connect with local community partners to deliver meaningful social value and community impact. It enables organisations to find projects and partners that align with their social value commitments, making it easier to support local communities through activities such as volunteering, mentoring, skills support, donations and community investment.
For organisations looking to maximise the local impact of their projects, Match My Project provides a simple way to identify community needs, build partnerships and demonstrate positive social outcomes in the areas where they work.
Enhanced networking – host a social value challenge table
You asked, we listened.
Feedback from previous events featured a number of requests for opportunities for structured networking focused on social value. In response, we are offering organisations the opportunity to host a social value challenge table in the main room before the morning presentations and discussions begin.
A challenge table can provide a platform for organisations seeking partners to help deliver social value commitments, as well as for those offering products or services that support social value delivery.
If you would like to request a table, please use the "Contact Us" option when booking through TicketTailor or use the contact form
The event will also feature
- Opportunities to network across sectors with up to 100 businesses, procurers, charities and community projects from 0830 onwards with main discussions starting at 1000.
- The opportunity to meet a range of exhibitors who can support organisations in delivering social value.
- Please note that only hot drinks will be provided at this event. If you require breakfast on the day, there are a number of independent cafés and food outlets within walking distance of Lancashire County Hall. If you would like further information or recommendations, please get in touch via contact form
