Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to dress up?

No. Smart evening wear is encouraged, with Halloween-inspired or suitably mysterious attire welcome if you'd like to join in.

Do I need to know anything about murder mysteries?

Not at all. The evening is designed to be enjoyed whether you're a seasoned detective or completely new to murder mystery events.

Do I have to participate?

Participation is encouraged but entirely optional. The actors will interact with guests around the tables, and you'll have opportunities to ask questions, discuss the clues and try to solve the mystery.

Will I be sitting with people I don't know?

Tables seat eight guests. If you book fewer than eight people, you may be seated with other guests. This is part of the experience and gives you the chance to meet other detectives and work together during the mystery.

Can I book a whole table?

Yes. Groups of eight can book a full table. As an added bonus, full tables receive three complimentary bottles of fizz.

What is included in the ticket?

Your £69 ticket includes a welcome drink, three-course dinner, tea and coffee, the interactive murder mystery and winner's certificate. Free parking is also available on site.

Will there be a bar?

Yes. A fully stocked bar with table service will be available throughout the evening.

What time does the evening start?

Doors open at 6.30pm and the murder mystery begins at 7pm. The evening is expected to finish at approximately 10.30pm.

Can you cater for dietary requirements?

Yes. Vegetarian and vegan options are available and we can accommodate allergies and other dietary requirements. Please provide full details when booking.

Is the event accessible?

The Sanderson Room is accessed via stairs and unfortunately does not have step-free access. If you have accessibility requirements, please contact us before booking so we can discuss whether we are able to assist.

Is parking available?

Yes. Free parking is available on site at Lancing College.

Can I get a refund if I can no longer attend?

Tickets are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, you can transfer your ticket to another person before the final catering deadline by contacting us. If the event is cancelled by the organiser, tickets will be refunded in full.
