Artist and naturalist, Cindy Stockton Moore will be leading an event at our native plant nursery in drawing with plant materials. Come on out and learn to forage different colors from the wild. This event will take you on the incredible journey from plant to picture. Cindy is a Philadelphia based artist who works with locally foraged, aqueous media to create multimedia animations, works on paper, and site-specific installations. Solo projects currently on view (2024) include ’an openness to all things lovely’ at Glen Foerd and ‘Other Absences’ at Eastern State Penitentiary. She has trained as a PA Master Naturalist and has developed and facilitated workshops at Poconos Environmental Education Center, The Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education, Cunningham Fall State Park, and through Mural Arts Education. Cindy’s experimental, often collaborative, videos screen in festivals and exhibitions nationwide and abroad. Her writing on art has appeared in FlashArt, ArtNews, Artblog, NYArts Magazine, SciArt Magazine, The New York Sun, and Title Magazine in addition to university and web publications.
