In the spirit of Halloween, we'll take you to a hidden graveyard along the Delaware river. The lost gravestones of Monument Cemetery connect to a history that stretches all the way back to 1837. After 119 years, Monument Cemetery, home to the remains of nearly 28,000 Philadelphians was condemned and the families of the deceased were given a small window of opportunity to collect the remains of their loved ones before the entire graveyard was tossed into the river where you can still see many of the stones. 

Boats, oars, and safety vests will be provided. We have single and tandem kayaks. Please bring hats, sunscreen, water, and all the things you need to stay healthy on the water.

The minimum age for this paddle is 12+. This is an intermediate-level paddle for individuals who have kayaked before, and are prepared to travel over 2 miles.
