This talk was super popular back in 2023 and was our first sold out talk. So, we thought we'd better get our expert speaker Colin Hart back to trace the development of Skinningrove from a small fishing village to the first powerhouse of Cleveland's iron industry.

Colin will cover the development of Skinningrove's mine, the creation of the ironworks, the building of houses, schools and chapels and the lives of people in the village.

Along the way, he will weave in tales of smugglers, pirates, and the legendary Skinningrove merman.
