Green Acreages Workshop Hosted by Rocky View County & Elbow River Watershed Partnership

NOTE: this is a two-part event that includes a workshop and an on-site field demonstration.
Space is limited to 20 participants.
1. Workshop - 12:30 PM - 2:30 PM at Redwood Meadows Townsite Community Center, Wild Rose Room
At the workshop you will learn about stewardship and how to:
- Evaluate your acreage
- Better manage and improve your property
- Map your property assets and plan your activities
- Access funding to help with a stewardship project and the projects that qualify
- And more
2. Field Demonstration - 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Wild Rose Community pond, Wildrose Close (see map below)
The field demonstration is an educational and hands-on learning opportunity focused on riparian restoration and bio-engineering using live willow staking, from harvesting to planting. Please bring:
- Boots or closed toed shoes, work gloves, sun hat, sunscreen (weather dependent), jacket for wind and/or rain (weather dependent), sunglasses, notebook and pencil (optional) or camera (optional) for record keeping, water bottle
- Nice to bring if you have them: large loppers, small hand pruners, prybars
