KETTLEBOWL & LUMBERCAMP SEGMENTS 2026 SHUTTLE FUNDRAISER MAY 2 & 3
Come and hike either the Kettlebowl or Lumbercamp segments by getting shuttled to your chosen trailhead and complete the whole segment in one day! Choose a ticket for your desired segment and starting time. Then arrive at the designated parking area and check in for your shuttle to the trailhead. ( you will have to hike the entire segment in one day.)
KETTLEBOWL SEGMENT- Distance is 10.2 miles and the difficulty rating is 4out of 5. You will hike north to south on this segment.
Unique geological features such as frost pockets and the Big Stone hole can be seen on this trek. You will view the Kettlebowl Ski area at the start of your hike (run entirely by volunteers during the season) and glimpse remnants of the Norem Sheep ranch in the south part of the trail. LUMBERCAMP SEGMENT= Distance is 12 miles and the difficulty rating is 4 out of 5, You will hike north to south on this segment. Parking will be at the Kettlebowl Ski Hill-6875 Wi Hwy 52 White Lake 54491.
This segment traverses mostly old logging roads which can be rutted and muddy and you may encounter standing water across the trail. It also features the historic Norem Lumbercamp with its intact root cellar, or the famed Hillbilly Hilton as most hikers know it. You will hike thru the Peters Marsh State Wildlife area in the northern portion and come upon Baker Lake and its wooden boat launch in the southern part. At the end of the segment you will cross Hwy 52 to the Kettlebowl parking lot where your car is parked.
