La Niña Jamón

"La Niña Jamón" (The Ham Girl) is a tragicomic and dark comedy play written by Argentine playwright Laura Eva Avelluto that explores toxic family relationships, emotional manipulation, and the sinister lurking in the everyday life. The plot follows Dora, an overbearing mother, and her son Eugenio, whose symbiotic relationship is as close as it is suffocating. Tonight, they await the arrival of Eugenia, his new girlfriend. What begins as a family dinner soon transforms into an encounter where the absurd and the unsettling intertwine. In a tragicomic atmosphere, the boundaries between love and control blur in a disturbing dance. 

(SPANISH) "La Niña Jamón" es una tragicomedia, escrita por la dramaturga argentina Laura Eva Avelluto, que explora los vínculos familiares tóxicos, la manipulación afectiva y lo siniestro oculto en lo cotidiano. La trama sigue a Dora, una madre dominante, y su hijo Eugenio, con una relación simbiótica, tan estrecha como sofocante. Esta noche esperan la llegada de Eugenia, su nueva novia. Lo que comienza como una cena familiar, pronto se transforma en un encuentro donde lo absurdo y lo inquietante se entrelazan. En un clima con pinceladas costumbristas y absurdas, los límites entre el amor y el control se desdibujan en una danza perturbadora.
