Guidelines of The Mic

• There is a one-item minimum for all comics and guests.
• You must purchase your item and check in with the host before your name is added to the lineup.
• Spots are 5 minutes, you may have extra time if we are not full.
• Check-in begins at 12:45 PM.
• If you arrive after 1:00 PM you may lose your spot to comics who are on the waitlist.
• Tickets are $7.00 + $1.50 booking fee for comics or $10.00 at the door, space permitting.
• Audience tickets are $8.50 + $1.50 booking fee or $10.00 at the door.
• Please note this is for the Upper West Side location on 78th Street. If you show up at any of the other locations, please do not expect to go on stage.
• You must be 18 and older to register, or 16 accompanied by a parent or guardian.
• One comic at random will receive a guest spot on one of our weekly shows (Provided they stay till the end of the mic and support the comics).
  • The guest spot date assigned to you cannot be changed, and there are no makeup spots.
  • While no guests are required to perform when you win a guest spot, bringing 1 guest earns you a spot on the same show the following week. If you bring 2 guests, you get a free video of your set, an additional guest spot, and feedback from LBC's Booker.
  • You will receive an email from: mics@laughingbuddhacomedy.com within 24-48 hours of your mic with your guest spot date and details. Please make sure our emails do not go into spam.
  • If you do not receive an email from us within 24-48 hours of your mic, please reach out to us via email.
• Please note the venue does receive last minute bookings which can interfere with our mics, if this happens we will notify you in advance.
• Phone/Notes:
  • You may use your phone or notes on stage
  • Please do not use your phone while in the audience
  • You may record your performance
• All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges are permitted.
