❄️ An Enchanting Evening of Regency Dance, Music, and Winter Cheer! ✨

Step out of the winter blues and into the warmth of Regency elegance with Laughing With Lizzie. A Ball for All Seasons: Wintertide promises an unforgettable evening of graceful dancing, delicious food, and winter festivities — all set within the historic Purley Barn, Reading.

Both new and experienced dancers are warmly welcome, and Regency dress is strongly encouraged to complete the atmosphere (though not compulsory.)

🕯️ Doors will open at 6:00pm, giving you time to arrive, settle in, and enjoy a warming welcome drink before the dancing begins. The ball itself will start at 6:30pm, so we encourage you to arrive in good time to make the most of the evening.

💃 Regency Dances with Libby Curzon

Let Libby Curzon of Mrs Bennet’s Ballroom lead you through the dances of the Regency period. Whether you are an experienced dancer or stepping onto the floor for the very first time, Libby’s guidance will ensure everyone feels confident as we dance the night away in true Austen style.

✂️ Silhouettes by Silhouette Sarah

We are delighted that Silhouette Sarah will be joining us for the evening, creating beautiful hand-cut Regency-style silhouette portraits.

Each guest will receive a silhouette token included with their ticket, allowing them to have their own silhouette cut during the ball — a wonderfully authentic keepsake from the evening. (Couple silhouettes will require two tokens.)

🍽️ Supper and Refreshments

Taking inspiration from the Regency era, you will enjoy a hot buffet prepared by Oh My Nosh Catering, accompanied by a glass of wine or soft drink, and followed by scrumptious desserts.

A variety of non-alcoholic drinks will also be provided to keep you refreshed throughout the evening.

(Please note there is no bar available, but you are welcome to bring additional drinks of your choice if desired.)

🧵 Historical Embroidery Workshop with Abigail Rose Creative

Earlier in the day, join a special historical embroidery workshop hosted by Abigail Rose of Abigail Rose Creative.

Further details will be announced soon, but guests can expect a cosy and creative afternoon inspired by historical needlework and the Regency era.
