An Austen Birthday Celebration: A Full-Day Pride & Prejudice Experience

💙 Join us for a special celebration of the beloved BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice (1995) — combined with a Jane Austen birthday celebration — with a full-series screening on the big screen!

📍 Venue: The Reading Biscuit Factory

🕰️ Time: 10:00am – 6:00pm (approx. 8 hours, with breaks between episodes)

Spend the day in the company of fellow Austen enthusiasts as we celebrate both one of the most beloved literary adaptations ever made and Jane Austen’s birthday itself, with a full screening of all six episodes of Pride and Prejudice (1995) in a relaxed and cosy cinema setting.

As this is also our Austen birthday celebration, there will be a few extra special touches throughout the day! 

The lights will be dimmed (not off), so do feel free to bring embroidery, knitting, or other quiet crafts to enjoy as you watch. (A small stitching light may also come in handy!)

Whether you joined us at last year’s Pride and Prejudice screening or this will be your very first, we would absolutely love to welcome you. Returning guests can look forward to some different touches this time around and, after all, it will have been over a year since many of us last gathered to watch Mr Darcy emerge from the lake on the big screen — which frankly feels reason enough to return.
