A Fireside Chat Owned by the Earth, Building the Future
The ADLP Blueprint for Genuine Resource Partnerships
Thursday, October 8, 2026 | 7 p.m.
Fraser Building, Auditorium, Lower Level
Laurentian University
ADLP is a Sudbury-based joint venture between two First Nations — Atikameksheng Anishnawbek and Wahnapitae First Nation — and two mining contractors, Technica Mining and Anmar. The First Nations are majority owners of the joint venture, representing a rare model within the mining industry.
This fireside chat will explore how this partnership came together, what genuine and equitable partnership means to each of its leaders, and how this model can help improve relationships between the mining industry and Indigenous land rights holders on mining projects.
Panelists: Gimaa Craig Nootchtai, Chief, Atikameksheng Anishnawbek; Chief Larry Roque, Wahnapitae First Nation; Mario Grossi, CEO, Technica Mining; and Gianni Grossi, CEO, Anmar.
Moderators: Tracy MacLeod, Alumni/Advancement, Laurentian University; and Dr. Nadia Mykytczuk, Goodman School of Mines, Laurentian University.
Free admission. All are welcome.
Location
Laurentian University Fraser Auditorium, P3E 2C6
