Lesbian Words
Sun 22 Oct 2023 12:00 PM - Sun 12 Nov 2023 2:00 PM
Lavender Menace Queer Books Archive, EH7 6AE
Description
Weekly 12-2pm on Sundays: 22nd October, 29th October, 5th November, and 12th November
Lavender Menace Queer Book Archive presents a series of four free and informal sessions with writer Ellen Galford. Each session Ellen will lead a conversation on lesbian writing inspired by the books in our archive. Join our small group for four weeks of tea, books, and discussion to celebrate lesbian writing in a welcoming space. These sessions are aimed at older lesbians, but all are welcome.
Booking information
Booking in advance is essential. Your booking covers all four sessions to allow the group to get to know each other. Places are limited so, if you are unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer your place to someone else.
Preparation
You do not need to prepare anything in advance if you do not want to, but you are welcome to bring your favourite lesbian book or poem to the first meeting to share with the group. Each week we will give you short extracts from some wonderful texts in the archive to take home with you and read.
Venue & Accessibility
The sessions are located at the archive in Edinburgh Palette. Information on how to get to us on public transport and by car is here, along with access information: https://lavendermenace.org.uk/how-to-find-us-accessibility-information
