ROUNDTABLE THEME: HOW GLOBAL ENVIRONMENTAL RESEARCH AND POLICY SHAPE COMMUNITIES, CAREERS, AND THE FUTURE

Join the Law and Business Student Association (LBSA) for an exclusive in-person roundtable hosting distinguished speakers from the United Nations University Institute for Water, Environment and Health (UNU-INWEH), one of the United Nations University’s premier research institutes addressing global water, environment, health, and sustainability challenges.

This roundtable is convened and moderated by Dr. Shokouh Abadi (Law & Business Faculty, TMU; Rule of Law & Human Rights Policy Fellow, UNU-INWEH).

The roundtable features distinguished scholars, researchers, and policy experts from interdisciplinary backgrounds in sustainability, governance, and environmental research:

Dr. Mir Matin Manager, Geospatial, Climate and Infrastructure Analytics Program, UNU-INWEH

Dr. Rohit Ramchandani Innovation and Strategic Partnerships Officer, UNU-INWEH

Dr. Miriam Aczel Researcher, Sustainability Transition and Justice, UNU-INWEH

Dr. Abraham Nunbogu Researcher, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), UNU-INWEH

This experience offers students the opportunity to engage directly with leading international scholars through a moderated panel discussion and interactive Q&A, followed by networking in the Oakham Lounge. Through thoughtful dialogue, real-world policy perspectives, and interdisciplinary insights, attendees will gain a clearer understanding of how international research, law, and business intersect to address global issues across governance, sustainability transitions, and health-environment systems. Whether you are exploring careers in law, public policy, environmental governance, international development, or sustainability leadership, this event provides a valuable chance to ask thoughtful questions, build professional confidence, and expand your network with UNU-INWEH experts.
