Join us for a special night in the Texas Hill Country as Jake The Moondog celebrates the release of his debut EP, Ancient Ways, with the first official concert featuring the band’s final lineup. Fronted by Jake Asbury of Nautical Nation, the project brings together a true Texas supergroup featuring Matt Noveskey of Blue October on bass, Chris McQueen of Snarky Puppy on guitar, Kyle Thompson of Bob Schneider’s band on drums, Keith Asbury of Melrose, and Gary Thomas “Saxy” of Belladonna Theory and The Maplewood Brothers.

Known for his genre-blending versatility and boundary-breaking songwriting, Jake The Moondog continues Jake Asbury’s evolution as a modern songwriter with timeless influence — a nomadic creator pushing into new sonic territory. Each release in the Jake The Moondog catalog will explore a different corner/genre of his musical repertoire, beginning with Ancient Ways, his heavy rock EP built on raw energy, big guitars, and powerful cinematic musicianship.

Opening the night are local favorites The Maplewood Brothers and Belladonna Theory, making this a full evening of Hill Country music, original songs, and one of the most exciting new artist launches to come out of Lazy Days Canteen.
