Sustainable investing continues to be in the news. Trustees of a big charity have made investments into " sustainable " enterprises which have achieved poor performance and, with that, the risk of impacting on their charitable delivery as a result. Conversely investing in enterprises with poor ESG status can put funds at risk by investing in ' beached whale' companies. 

What is the right balance and what are the performance metrics for ESG style funds?
