What happens when a guided wine tasting collides with a late-night talk show and a live band? You get London's Funniest Wine Tasting.
Hosted by sommelier and saxophonist Charlie, this interactive experience blends wine education, live music, and comedy into a show that's as entertaining as it is informative. Discover how wines are made, what earns them a place on the shelf, and the fascinating stories behind some of the world's most celebrated wine regions. Between tastings, the house band serves up a lively mix of jazz, funk, blues, and bossa nova, while satirical games, celebrity wine quizzes, and audience participation keep the laughs flowing.
Grab some food and drinks from our partners at Trove & Treasure and Box Hall Park.
Doors open at 17:30.
About the host:
Charlie’s been a saxophonist since 2014, having played at venues like the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire and XOYO. But, spurred on by a desire to feel superior to his peers, he qualified as a sommelier in 2021.
He got a job presenting tastings several times a week, where he honed the art of using descriptors like “astringent” and “mellow”.
One morning, while frolicking in a meadow, he decided to take the best parts from his day and night jobs, and created Tasting Notes. The band was assembled within 20 minutes, and here we are.
