Please join us for a timely and informative presentation by Taylor Allred, Energy and Climate Program Director at the Coastal Conservation League. This is a free civic education event, open to League members and the public.
The Zoom lecture is part 1 of a 2-part program on the proposed utility plant in Canadys and the proposed gas pipeline route through the conserved ACE Basin. The presentation will cover recent energy legislation, the scope and potential impacts of the proposed power plant and pipeline, and the implications for the environment and utility costs in South Carolina. PLEASE SIGN UP FOR THIS EVENT THROUGH THIS PAGE.
Part 2: The lecture will be followed on Wednesday, October 8 at 1pm by a guided field trip at Nemours Wildlife Foundation in Yemassee, SC, to experience the ACE Basin firsthand. Spaces are limited. This foundation and site were created by a member of the DuPont family for the purpose of education and research in the conservation of S.C.’s natural resources. The tour will start at 1pm.
It is not necessary to attend the lecture prior to the tour. For more info on the field trip or to reserve a place, please send email to JudithKramer1@icloud.com. Ticketing for the field trip event is not yet enabled.
