Description
WHY WOMEN IN TRANSITION?
Women in corporate life encounter numerous challenges during transition periods such as divorce, motherhood, loss of a loved one, illness, pregnancy, and menopause.
These challenges, which span both professional and personal spheres, often compound, making the workplace environment more daunting for women. Common hurdles include struggling to balance career demands with caregiving responsibilities, facing discrimination and bias during pregnancy or menopause, experiencing disruptions in career progression due to life changes, and grappling with financial instability. Additionally, the toll on women's physical and mental health during these transitions can impact their performance and overall well-being. Many women also feel isolated or unsupported due to inadequate workplace policies and cultural norms that fail to accommodate their needs. Moreover, societal pressures to excel in both career and family life can exacerbate feelings of guilt and inadequacy.
Join us on Tuesday, 14 May to discuss how supportive workplace policies, cultural shifts, and individual support systems are needed to address these challenges and to empower women to navigate transitions effectively in order to advance in their careers.
