About the projects
LEAP has co-produced a distinct digital health research strategy at the intersection between the health needs of the region of South West England and Wales and the specific research and innovation strengths of our partnership network.
Our funded projects include research fall into one of four thematic areas derived from this strategy:
- Care Outside the Hospital
- Service and Resource Planning
- Frailty, Fall Prediction, and Fall Prevention
- Smartphone and Wearable Technologies
From AI triaging for digital placenta pathology to enhancing secondary care clinical dashboards by integrating patient-generated health data and predictive analytics, LEAP's funded research and fellowship projects explore the cutting edge in opportunities to reduce the strain on the health and care system and deliver digitally enhanced care in settings outside the hospital.
