DNACPR Information Pack Launch
Turning Point and Learning Disability England are pleased to invite you to our DNACPR Information Pack Launch!

During the pandemic we saw lots of bad practice around DNACPR recommendations, where they were given to whole groups of people without them knowing or where 'learning disability' was listed as a reason for the recommendation.
There has been lots of work to stop this happening, but it sometimes still does happen.
We hope this new online information resource will help people with learning disabilities, families and support workers know what to do if a doctor talks to you about DNACPRs.
You might have seen or used the version we quickly made during the pandemic. We would like to thank our working group who have helped us develop this updated and improved resource. Including our experts by experience and representatives from the Stop People Dying Younger Group, National Mental Capacity Forum, NHSE and CQC.

The DNACPR information pack is to help people with learning disabilities to:
- Understand what a DNACPR is
- Know what the law says about DNACPR
- Feel confident about raising a concern if you think something isnt right
At the launch our speakers will:
- Talk about what is happening now with DNACPR recommendations
- Share their experiences with DNACPR
- Show you the new information pack and tell you about how we made it
This is a free and public session open to everyone.
It will be of interest to people with learning disabilities, families, support workers and health care professionals.
