Understanding and Preventing Disability Hate Crimes on Public Transport
Wed 18 Sep 2024 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM BST
Online, Zoom
Description
Join Learning Disability England and United Response for a joint webinar on 18th September, exploring disability hate crime prevention.
Researchers from United Response will lead a workshop discussing how to identify and prevent disability hate crimes, with a specific focus on incidents occurring on public transport in England.
This one-hour session is part of United Response’s broader research project, aiming to shed light on the lived experiences of individuals facing discrimination.
Participants will have the opportunity to contribute by completing an online survey at the end of the workshop. The responses collected will help United Response identify gaps in the system, share real life stories, and push the Government to make changes that are so urgently needed.
The survey is running until the 26th of September, and as an added incentive, anyone who completes it and leaves their email address will be entered into a prize draw to win one of ten £100 Amazon vouchers.
Help us raise awareness and make public transport safer for everyone.
