Webinar: Involving Everyone
This webinar is for Learning Disability England members who are interested in learning more about Involving Everyone - a project, by Inclusion North, dedicated to People with Profound and Multiple learning disabilities and their families.
This Webinar hopes to celebrate what has been achieved during the project, share learning and connect people. We want to raise awareness and fly the flag for people with profound and multiple learning disabilities and their families.
There is a packed programme of speakers and topics:
Quality Checking
Liz Wright from Skills for People will talk about Co Producing Quality Checks for people with profound and multiple learning disabilities with family carers and professionals and the role out of this training to Quality Checkers
Research
Samantha Ferguson co-founder of Little SENDsations will talk about the research they have undertaken looking at what accessible activities and opportunities are available for people with profound and multiple learning disabilities across the Northeast and North Cumbria. They have interviewed parents and family carers from across the region to gather personal stories and experiences.
Small Sparks Funding
We will hear from Little SENDsations, Susie Tate Projects and The Sensory Space about the projects they have run after successfully applying for small pots of funding through the Involving Everyone Project… this includes forest schools, dance and movement sessions, sensory theatre and sensory experiences
Profound and Multiple learning Disabilities (PMLD) Community of Practice Facebook group
We will hear about the Profound and Multiple learning Disabilities (PMLD) Community of Practice Facebook group
Carers Online Group
Claire Cant will talk about the online Carers group and the impact this group has had by bringing parents and carers together
Consultancy Work
Hayley Clarke, co-founder of Little SENDsations, will talk about her involvement in producing training on learning disability and autism for staff at North East Ambulance Service (NEAS). She will share the video she made with her son Harrison about life as a parent of someone with a profound and multiple learning disability.

About Involving Everyone
Involving Everyone is a project run by Inclusion North. Funded by the North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board, it focuses on increasing inclusion for people with profound and multiple learning disabilities and their families - one of the most excluded groups in society. Seldom seen or heard, little attention is paid to who these individuals are or their quality of life.
