The How We Survive and Thrive: The People with Learning Disabilities Pandemic Inquiry found everyone was unprepared for the pandemic and its impact.

We know there are lots of ways another pandemic, national crisis, or climate change could affect people with learning disabilities and their families.

We want to make sure that everybody learns from Covid, so we are better prepared for the next emergency.

As the government starts to talk about people being prepared for over the winter, this session is a chance for people and families to come together to talk about what's important.

In the session we will:

  • Share the recommendations from How We Survive and Thrive
  • Think together about what we can do to prepare for emergencies
  • Share ideas of what works well

The session is designed for people with learning disabilities and families to get the most from.

This session is open to everyone, you don’t need to be a Learning Disability England Member to join.

If your organization has done work on this that you would like to share, we would love to hear from you. Contact Rachael.hall@LDEngland.org.uk
