For the grand finale of the three concerts in our new Music at the Institute series, we present CarmenCo ‘a Pocket Opera’.
CarmenCo is more than a concert: It’s a performance of Spanish and Spanish-inspired music presented as a play, roughly following the story of Bizet’s opera Carmen but told from her point of view. Dare you consult the cards with her? What does she think of the men in her story? Did she foresee her gruesome ending?
With sell-out performances all over the UK, CarmenCo trio (mezzo/flute and 2 guitars), will have the audience in turn laughing out loud, and listening with absolute silence to the immersive and evocative music. A brilliantly accessible and fun way to present classical music, CarmenCo’s “Pocket Opera” is the must-see show of 2025.
This ticket is for the 7:30pm performance. There is also a 2pm matinee performance. To buy tickets for that, go here: https://app.tickettailor.com/events/leatherheadcommunityassociation1/1711205
Doors open at 7pm. Show starts at 7:30pm. There will be an interval of twenty minutes with tea, coffee and soft drinks.
