Traditional Weaving Workshop

Spend an afternoon at the loom with Soojin Kang, a Korean-born textile artist whose work is held in the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum.
Working with natural fibres, you'll learn the basics of hand weaving in the visual language of **dotjari** — traditional Korean mat weaving — and take your own woven piece home. Kang's own practice begins there and then lets go: cloth becomes fringe, fringe becomes a falling line, and the weaving leaves the wall to take up space in the room.
No experience needed. All materials provided.
