Our teacher professional development workshop is designed to equip you with fun and adventurous new ways into the devising process and tools to use with your students to challenge and excite them throughout their devising projects at all key stages.
Are you teaching devising across key stages and looking for ways to prevent seeing the same things over and over again, or looking for ways to encourage your students to take risks? Look no further....
This workshop will:
- Explore a range of approaches to and theories of devising
- Support your toolkit of practical techniques
- Suggest new and exciting stimuli and exercises
- Provide you with resources to reference back to
- Answer all your questions
Who will be leading the workshop?
This workshop is led by Les Enfants Terribles' Creative Director, James Seager, and Head of Engagement, Sinead O’Callaghan.
Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is open to any teacher or educator, of all ages, backgrounds and experiences, who wants to build their devising skills.
Previous workshop attendees said:
“Absolutely loved how they’re able to take a bunch of strangers and put them on the same platform in no time. It felt like we were in a kind of creative cloud where grown ups came together to play and connect with each other and the imaginative child in them.”
“It really pushed me out of my comfort zone in a very supportive environment.”

Bursary Places
We are pleased to offer a bursary place for this workshop. This spot is free and is available to anyone who would not be able to afford to attend the workshop otherwise. You can find the application form for this bursary place here. Please note that this is one bursary place per individual.
We appreciate that there are often a lot of barriers to involvement in the arts, and we don’t want to add to those, so we will not be asking for a detailed application form. If you are in a position where you are unable to cover the workshop fee, you can put your name forward for a bursary space. Please refer to our EDI policy here for more guidance on eligibility.
Applications for Bursary spaces are due 3rd December 2026 and all eligible candidates will be entered into a ballot from which one name will be drawn that day.
