SPECIAL WRITER WORKSHOP & SONGWRITER EVENING FOR JUNE!
Gather. Create. Celebrate.
Whether you are holding a pen, a guitar, or a notebook full of half-finished ideas, your voice belongs here. Join us for the June edition of Let Her Write, a unique hybrid event blending a supportive writer’s workshop with an intimate songwriter night.
This month, we are creating a sacred, inspiring space for women to connect, hone their craft, and uplift one another’s stories.
We are thrilled to welcome a talented local singer-songwriter Melanie LaFoy! She will be performing a few of her original pieces and sharing insights into her creative process, lyricism, and how she brings stories to life through music.
Every woman has a story to tell. Whether you are a published author, a bedroom poet, a seasoned musician, or someone who hasn't written in years but feels the itch to rediscover her voice - you are welcome here.
We'll see you there!

About our Guest Storyteller:

Melanie LaFoy, Singer, Songwriter, & Chef
Melanie LaFoy produces unique and profound pieces that draw from her experience as a traveling folk artist, a background in classical piano, studies in poetry, and the French Touch electronic scene in Nantes, France. It is there she began writing songs for her current project, nightjar, in 2019. She brings a wide array of stylings to her keys that, coupled with an at times grungy, at times spacey guitar duo by her side and her vast vocal range, creates a sound that is thoughtful, rich - and a little bit out of this world.
