After taking a summer break, we are back and ready to gather again! Whether you spent the summer scribbling in notebooks or put your pens down entirely, September is our time to come back together, dust off our ideas, and spark new creative energy.

We are thrilled to welcome guest storyteller Lilly Tench, author of Good Business: An Entrepreneur's Guide to Creating a Better World. Lilly will share her personal writing journey and demystify the publishing world - breaking down what you need to craft a compelling book proposal and how the process of approaching publishers differs between non-fiction and fiction.

Following Lilly's talk, we’ll move into an interactive guided activity designed to help you break through your own creative blocks, overcome writer's paralysis, and get the words flowing freely again.

What to Expect:

• Interactive Writing Activity: Hands-on exercises focused on breaking through mental blocks and getting unstuck.

Every woman has a story, and every story is worth writing! Whether you’ve dreamed of writing a book, pitching an agent, publishing an article, or simply want to explore your voice through journaling, this gathering is for you.

You don’t need to be a “published writer” or have any past experience - just bring your voice, your curiosity, and the desire to explore your story.

About our Guest Storyteller:

Lilly Tench, Author of Good Business: An Entrepreneur's Guide to Creating a Better World

Lilly Tench is an author, coach and consultant with over a decade of experience supporting, teaching, and enabling mission-based business; specializing in organizations designed to be both financially sustainable and to create positive impact for people and the planet.

She has held roles as Executive Director of the Spark Innovation Center, an incubator and accelerator program based at the University of Tennessee, Chief of Staff at SkyNano, a climate tech startup, Director of Membership at Newlab, an innovation center in Brooklyn, and Program Director of the No Impact Project, an environmental non-profit. Lilly has designed and implemented entrepreneurial support programming for sustainable agriculture companies at AgLaunch and cleantech startups at Columbia University.

She is the author of the book Good Business: An Entrepreneur’s Guide to Creating a Better World, and was selected for the 2025 "40 Under 40" cohort by Knox News.
