AVANTI GARDENS YR 4-6 ⫸ TERMS 5 & 6 ⫸ MONDAY
✺ AVANTI ART CLUB YR 4-6 ⫸ MONDAY ✺
We are committed to keeping our sessions more affordable than comparable art enrichment and after-school provision in Bristol, because we believe creative opportunities should be accessible to all families.
Our pricing reflects the care, expertise and preparation behind every session — from detailed planning and high-quality resources to our combined years of experience as art educators. We carefully select well-resourced, professional materials and invest in training our facilitators to ensure every child receives a genuinely enriching and inspiring experience.
We have held our prices steady for the past three years. However, due to rising material costs, we have made the considered decision to increase our fee slightly to £10 per session. This adjustment allows us to maintain the quality and depth of provision that families value, while continuing to offer excellent value for money.
Term 5 - Monday 20th, 27th April, May 11th, 18th - 4 sessions
Term 6 Monday 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th June, 6th, 13th, 20th July - 7 sessions
May 4th - Bank Holiday and June 1st - Inset Day
11 sessions = £110
BACS Payment is due ASAP to secure your place - please remember to reference your CHILD'S SURNAME AND SCHOOL
About us >>
LET’S MAKE ART is an independent arts organisation run by artists and educators Alice Hendy and Karen Davies. They are artists in residence at the Arnolfini, Bristol’s International Centre for Contemporary Arts. Their fun and inventive style has led them to work with many like minded organisations and artists, delivering accomplished projects for diverse audiences.
They are passionate about the importance of creative subjects in schools and truly believe that studying and participating in art supports learning in other subjects. Art For Schools started in 2015 by Let’s Make Art to provide multi media arts programmes for key stage 1 and 2 pupils and since then they have provided an oversubscribed Art Club at Ashton Gate. Exploring all aspects of making, literature, art history and experimenting with diverse materials and techniques, we value young people as natural artists who have a freedom of expression. Art For Schools allows creativity to flourish and elevates children’s art to the status it deserves. Every year we enter children's artwork created at Art Club into the Young Artists Show at The Royal Academy in London and have had four successful candidates exhibit their work.
Please visit our Instagram Art For Schools to see more of what we get up to.
Avanti Art Club is run by Ashlea Connor. A primary school teacher and art lead. Each week she will teach different activities, introducing a large range of techniques and materials, including; collage, drawing, collaborative painting, watercolour, sketching, printmaking, stitching, sculpting, graphics, cyanotypes, papier-mache, wearable art and more. Each child will make a bespoke sketchbook to customise and keep.
A little information about the facilitator:
From Ashlea;
Hi, I’m Ashlea, and I’m thrilled to be collaborating with Let’s Make Art to exclusively offer Avanti Gardens children an enriching and fun after-school Art Club every Monday!
As part of the parent community, I’m excited to bring Let’s Make Art activities and ethos to Avanti Gardens and create a space where children can explore their creativity and develop a love for artistic expression.
A little about me:
I’ve been teaching Year 5/6 for 10 years.
I’m the Art and DT lead at my current school, where I’ve nurtured a passion for all things creative.
I’ve assisted with collaborative art projects and training with Clifton College and Mangotsfield High School.
Before teaching, I was an Art Co-ordinator and Play Leader for after school clubs in Bristol.
I’m dedicated to providing a safe and inspiring space where children can be bold with their ideas, embrace getting messy, and celebrate their successes—it’s all about enjoying the process!
I can’t wait to meet a new batch of aspiring artists and help them unleash their creativity! 🎨✨
