British Road Church Hall BS3

£55 per child per day (£100 2x siblings)

A selection of art and construction workshops inspired by vintage games and toys from an age where children had to think outside of the XBOX! Inspired by the pioneers of an age when phone screens didn't exist and we’re going back to basics! Using cardboard, coloured papers, recycled packaging etc

We use simple methods of construction and materials which are easily sourced so the creative process can continue and develop at home. Everything is provided for a fun and engaging day of activities creating high quality art to take home.

We will watch a film at lunchtime. Please provide a packed lunch (sorry no nuts!)

* Please note the same activities will be running on both days, the film will be confirmed nearer the time.

AVAILABLE ALL DAY

  • Collage table - Make several mini surreal scenes to make into a set of House of Cards like Charles and Ray Eames

  • Collaborative Balloon Sculpture - throughout the day add to the expanding sculpture. The balloons will be used and recycled for another creative project.

  • Upcycling tins with sustainably sourced vinyl to make pen holders, plant pots etc.

9am - 11am >> BIG BIRD MASKS - Michael Grater - Each child will decorate a cardboard bird headdress with coloured stickers, vinyl, papers and streamers to make their own creative creature to wear.

11.30am - 12.30am >> CERAMIC TILE COLLAGE - Alexander Girard - Using recycled vinyl and stickers children will design a ceramic tile inspired by the famous dolls designed by Girard

LUNCH - We will show a suitable film during lunchtime. TBC

2pm - 3pm >> ELEPHANT - Charles and Ray Eames  - Using oil pastels children will add colour and pattern to a template of the famous Eames Elephant.
