Let's Talk Better Campaign

The aim of Let's Talk Better CIC (LTB) is to break down and reduce the stigmas and taboos which many of us may hold and that can impact our own mental health and wellbeing.

If we are to talk better and lead fulfilling lives, understanding our own identity, self-worth, beliefs and values is vital.

Each of us needs a deeper level of understanding of who we are, our values, our sense of belonging and our boundaries, based on an awareness of how special we all are as individuals.

This essential script for life is seldom communicated, and we are affected by external factors from the day we are born (as an empty canvas) for better or worse. For example, by parents/ carers, schools, workplaces and the social circles we have or don’t have. If we are unaware of how to cope with the pressures and expectations of society, and do not have the tools at hand, we can become isolated, vulnerable, and in some cases, eventually suicidal.

Let’s Talk Better events explore a range of issues and help attendees look deeper into how to understand themselves better, and to be able to support others.

On Friday 14th October 2022, the Let’s Talk Better Campaign launched live on air on Zeenat Noorani’s Mindset Matters Radio show, together with Darren Weale of In Tune PR.

Zeenat of Clarity Consulting and Darren feel passionately that ‘All of us can learn to be better at talking and listening to fellow humans’. That is a line from the book ‘Let’s Talk’ by broadcaster Nihal Arthanayake, but it is the tip of an iceberg, as there are many more threads to be woven into that simple statement.

Above all, as Zeenat says, ‘We know there is a problem on many levels, but we also know something can be done about it, and that is exactly what we will be doing. We are here to inspire more open and better conversations around topics we fear, where we feel judged or embarrassed about.’
