Oscillator Echo Chamber: DIY Experimental Electronic Music with LIEI

Step into the unknown with LIEI at this introduction to experimental DIY music. We’ll explore the uncanny and strange through digital music production, using SoundTrap software to craft haunting, otherworldly soundscapes.

No tech skills or specialist equipment is required - just bring your laptop, headphones and an open mind. You’ll learn to create music in an intuitive, accessible way, while experimenting with eerie, ethereal sounds, including playing and recording with the theremin.

LIEI is a local artist who blends music, performance, and visual arts via electronic sound, with a particular use of the theremin.

Weird Women

Weird Women is a creative programme from Levenshulme Old Library celebrating the strange, the uncanny, and the unexplained. Led by and designed for women-identifying participants, each session offers a safe and supportive space to explore the darker, more mysterious sides of creativity.

All Weird Women events are free to attend as we believe in making creative spaces as accessible as possible. However, we recommend those who are to support our work make a donation of £10 when booking. Every contribution helps us continue running events like this at Levenshulme Old Library, supporting artists, writers and facilitators in our neighbourhood.
