Black History Month 2023 - Matriarchs of Movement

Join the Mayor of Lewes in the Council Chamber for an evening of storytelling to celebrate trailblazing women as part of Black History Month 2023.

We will be welcoming special guest Dr Yansie Rolston for the Lewes premiere of the short film 'Our Menopause', as well as hosting a conversation with Raising Futures Kenya who support the futures of girls and women in the UK and Africa.

Refreshments will be provided in the intimate Mayor’s Parlour, and participants will be able to take part in the conversation and support Raising Futures’ makers.
