In this collection - published by Burning Eye Books on 28 October - Leyla questions the urge to share her inner life publicly, diving into secrets, faith, lust and death without shame.

Demi Anter is a writer and performer originally from California, now based in London after many years in Berlin. An extensively touring spoken word artist, her appearances include Glastonbury Festival, the Scottish Storytelling Centre, and Poetry Ireland. Her work has been published by Magma, Banshee, and Ninth Letter, among others. Her debut poetry collection Small Machine (Write Bloody UK) was called “Tender, visceral, beautifully vulnerable” by Musa Okwonga, and "Strikingly luminous and soothing” by Chanel Miller.  People's Poetry Podcast has called her “The Ray Davies of Spoken Word.”  Find out more at www.demianter.com.

Hasti Crowther is a poet and writer living in South East London. A member of the Ledbury Poetry Critics and the Southbank New Poets Collective, Hasti is also the host of monthly open mic and poetry night Fresh Lip.

Niquelle LaTouche is a Hackney-born and Caribbean (Dominica) raised artist-educator who is invested in speaking from a place of authenticity to encourage creative collaboration and togetherness. She is the founder of Niquelle LaTouche Arts (est. 2014) and It Takes A Village Collective (est. 2020) which both act as spaces to facilitate proactive social change.

Kate Ireland Kate is a writer, performer, artist, sister, pal and avid-walker from Glasgow. Her work weaves together the personal and political- paying attention to connection, care, play, capitalism and mental health. Kate runs 'Blether' which hosts workshops and events encouraging people to perform new and untested performance works in a supportive environment. As a writer Kate has been part of the BBC Words First mentoring scheme, the Traverse Young Writers and the Skinny Magazine’s Emerging Writer series in partnership with the Edinburgh International Festival. She has recently completed a masters in Performance Making at Goldsmiths.
