Liam Hart: Haunting of the House – Painting the Ghosts of Memories
Private View Invitation
You are warmly invited to the Private View of 'Haunting of the House: Painting the Ghosts of Memories', the debut solo exhibition by artist Liam Hart.
Utilising the home as a metaphor for the internal architecture of the mind, this immersive collection of paintings navigates the complexities of mental health through the lens of the fictional Blighton family. Each artwork maps a psychological space where domestic rooms become chambers of memory, fear, and ultimate renewal.
Through realistic yet surreal imagery—a crib seen through a child's eyes, a staircase, corridors, and a face covered with watchful eyes—Hart traces the haunting journey of navigating childhood shadows and unresolved past memories in order to emerge stronger. The exhibition captures the experience of walking from one space of your mind into another. It stands as a poignant call to confront the invisible hauntings of mental health, proving that facing our ghosts doesn’t destroy the house, but rebuilds it.
Join us for an evening of art, conversation, and refreshments to celebrate the opening of the collection.
