LIBER WINTER EVENT 2024

The LIBER Winter Event 2024, organised by the University of Maribor Library, will take place on 26–27 November 2024, at the University of Maribor in Slovenia.

This year’s theme is: “Expanding Horizons: Research Libraries and Social Engagement.”

The deadline for registration is Thursday, 31 October 2024.

The registration deadline has been extended until Sunday, 10 November 2024. Register as soon as possible to secure your spot!

Optional activities:

• Pre-Event Cocktail Reception (25 November 2024) at the University of Maribor Library (Address: Gospejna ulica 10, 2000 Maribor).

• Dinner (26 November 2024) at the Slovene National Theatre Maribor, featuring music by the Maribor Octet (Address: Slovenska ulica 27, 2000 Maribor).

• Old Vine House Visit (27 November 2024): Wine tasting at the house of the oldest vine in the world. (Address: Vojašniški trg 2a, 2000 Maribor).

National Pre-Event

The LIBER Winter Event will be preceded by a national pre-event titled Slovenian Libraries in Research and the LIBER partnership in collaboration with the Slovenian Library Association, scheduled for 25 November 2024. The national pre-event will be conducted in both Slovene and English, and LIBER Winter Event registrants are welcome to attend. For more details, please visit the event page here.
