Innovation Gathering 2024
Wed 6 Mar 2024 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
The Studio, Birmingham, B2 5EP
Description
The Libraries Connected Innovation Gathering is an annual event which brings public library staff together from across the UK to showcase their innovative work, create new connections and think collectively about how to improve their services to local communities. This a one-day in person event is designed to allow people to share and network with library colleagues in an informal way.
The event programme is developed by working with library staff to select topics that are of interest and relevant to them. It will feature quick fire ignite talks from people working in public libraries followed by networking table discussions. This year will be also joined by a guest speaker from The Black Curriculum who will be talking about their award-winning pod cast Sounds of Black Britain, and we hope to have a guest speaker from a public library outside the UK.
The event is aimed at library staff in development and middle management roles but is open to anyone working in public libraries. We particularly welcome attendance from anyone who hasn't attended a Libraries Connected event before and people from ethnic minority backgrounds, who have historically been under-represented at our events.
Tickets cost £50 (excl. VAT) per person and places are limited so booking in advance is essential. Tickets can be paid for by card online, or you can request an invoice by selecting 'Pay by Invoice' (we'll then contact you for a PO number).
