Meet Stardust
Join us for an informal online meet-and-greet with Kat McGarr, creator and performer of STARDUST – Starring Star Dust (In Person), a glitter-soaked tragicomedy exploring grief through cabaret, clowning, music and dazzling character comedy.
Created following the deaths of Kat’s mum and dad, STARDUST explores grief, creativity and the ways we can transform lived experience into creative work.
Kat is hoping to take STARDUST, along with her associated creative workshops, on a UK and international tour in spring 2027. This informal session is an opportunity to meet Kat, hear more about the work and, most importantly, make connections with people who might be interested in bringing it to their communities.
During the session, Kat will:
✨ Introduce herself and share the personal story behind STARDUST
✨ Show extracts from a film of the performance
✨ Talk about her creative workshops, including making work from lived experience
✨ Answer questions and open up a conversation about the possibilities for future performances and workshops
We’re particularly keen to connect with people working in death, dying, grief, the arts, education and community work — whether you represent a theatre, arts centre, library, university, community organisation, grief programme or another kind of space.
It doesn’t have to be a theatre. Kat is interested in exploring all sorts of possibilities for sharing the work.
There will be two FREE online sessions on Saturday 10 October, at different UK times, to make it easier for people joining us from different parts of the world.
Saturday 10 October 2026
🕙 10am UK time
🕕 6pm UK time
Please register for the session that suits you best. We look forward to welcoming you and helping to make some new connections around this wonderful piece of work.
Hosted by Lifting the Lid International Festival of Death & Dying.
