We are delighted to invite you to be part of our Carbon Literacy for Domestic Retrofit course, developed by Springfield Partners and Lighthouse Sustainability Ltd, and endorsed by Her Retrofit Space.

This is a unique opportunity to join a small, focused cohort of Her Retrofit Space members, while building confidence in the core principles shaping retrofit today and gaining your Carbon Literacy Certification.

Why this course matters

Retrofit is no longer just about compliance or energy efficiency. It sits at the heart of how we respond to climate, health and housing challenges in the UK. This course has been designed specifically for the domestic retrofit context, and is the first of its kind, helping you understand not just what needs to be done, but why it matters and how to approach it with clarity and confidence.

What will you gain

By attending the course, you will:

• Gain a straightforward understanding of the science of climate change
• Understand how climate change impacts the housing sector (risks and opportunities) and the role domestic retrofit plays in reducing emissions and impacts.
• Understand the co benefits of good retrofit, including health, comfort and long term performance
• Build confidence in communicating carbon impacts and retrofit decisions with clients, teams and stakeholders
• Have the opportunity to achieve a recognised Carbon Literacy certification, supporting your professional development
• Gain access to a digital suite of resources supporting and extending the course content
• Have made a clear commitment to climate action within the retrofit space through sector specific pledges.

A shared learning experience

This is more than a training course. As a 'Her Retrofit Space' cohort, you will be learning alongside other members who are navigating similar challenges, questions and ambitions.

It is an opportunity to:

• Connect with other members and get to know the diversity of roles within the retrofit sector
• Share experiences and perspectives in a supportive environment
• Build relationships and connections that extend beyond the sessions and support you in your work moving forward

• Dates: 26th & 28th January 2027
• Time: 08:45 – 12:30 (both days)
• Format: Online, live sessions
• Group size: Minimum 8, maximum 14 participants
• Price: £198 (including VAT, ticket includes certificate fee payable to CLP)
• Her Retrofit Space Member Price: £138 (save £60)
