Light Up Lancaster is delighted to welcome Martin Glover to the festival, who will be offering British Sign Language (BSL) guided tours of the artworks and installations.
Specialist facilitator Martin, who is himself deaf and a BSL user, and also a light artist, will take you on an illuminating tour of the festival, highlighting the artworks, their meanings and the processes behind their creation.
Please note: this is a BSL tour with no spoken English that is aimed at deaf, hard-of-hearing BSL users and fluent friends.
This year, the tour will have two parts, both on Saturday 7 November. You can join for one of the parts, or both.
- PART 1: Starting from Williamson Park at 5pm, you will visit the 11 artworks that make up Jony Easterby's 'Garden of Delights'
- PART 2: The tour will then make its way into town. Starting from The Dukes on Moor Lane at 7pm, you will visit the city centre artworks.
PART 1 OF THE TOUR STARTS FROM WILLIAMSON PARK, WYRESDALE ROAD GATES (NEAR CAR PARK)
This link is for Part 1, please book for Part 2 as well if you would also like to view the city centre artworks.
