Practical Rope Bondage 1
Practical Rope Bondage 1
In this two hour class, we’ll lay the foundation of good rope handling and physical connection via rope bondage. We’ll teach you three fundamental ties, each of which can be done with 2-3 standard lengths (20-30ft) of rope. You’ll learn how to adapt the ties to different levels of comfort/flexibility, how to use them as starting points for a whole “scene”, and how they can be an entire experience just by themselves. We will also have time at the end for “open labbing” - practice what you just learned with the bubbly support (and ready assistance) of the teaching staff.
These ties are easiest to practice and perform on someone else, but solo attendees are enthusiastically welcome! We’ll be sure to include tips for safe and enjoyable solo play, and we’ll be happy to pair you up with a class partner on the spot if you’d like one.
Q/A:
I’ve never touched rope before, is this the right class for me?
We’d love to have you! This is a little above a Bondage 101 class, so we’ll recommend some pre-class study material, including some videos to watch and exercises to practice. The class might be a little tougher for you, but we promise you won’t get left behind!
I’ve touched A LOT of rope before, is this the right class for me?
We’d love to have you too! The Liminal Rope instructors have approx. 30 years combined experience. To us, this means we probably have some distinction and nuance in our styles that we can share with you, and we’d also love to see what you do during “open labbing” (and we might even take mental notes!)
I don’t really see a lot of people like me in rope bondage, is this the right class for me?
HELL YES!
Okay, but who shouldn’t come to this class?
Anyone under 18, or anyone looking to use this class as a dating pool.
Is the class in a wheelchair accessible location?
Yep!
How much does a ticket cost?
$18. But it’s really important to us that economics isn’t a barrier to learning how to tie, so if you need a reduced price ($10) or free ticket, reach out (liminal.rope@gmail.com) and we’ll make that work. If you can reasonably afford to pay full price, please do so with the understanding that we use any money we take in on things like cost of venue and materials.
What should I wear to this class?
We recommend clean, flexible, comfy clothes, with minimal fragrances. How much or little skin is showing is up to your comfort and discretion, though please be sure to keep a reasonable clothing barrier between your tenderest bits and any rope that does not belong to you.
What if I don’t have any rope?
We’re happy to lend you some for the class! Just let us know beforehand. We can give you some good recommendations for places to get rope and we will have some for sale as well if you’re sold on the idea.
I want to come, but I can’t make it. What should I do?
Let us know what the obstacle is in [this form]? Name and email are optional, we just want to make sure this stuff is as reasonably accessible as possible.
