The annual Chapel Concert sung by the professional voices of the Choir of Lincoln’s Inn conducted by the Director of Chapel Music, Nicholas Shaw with William Whitehead, Associate Organist.
A drinks reception in Old Hall will follow the concert and is included in the ticket price
Night Song – A programme of sacred and secular music reflecting the ending of the day with composers from the sixteenth century to the present day. Connections to the Inn are celebrated in Arvo Pärt’s Littlemore Tractus (words by St John Henry Newman, member of the Inn) and Bring us O Lord God by William Harris (words by John Donne, Preacher of the Inn 1616- 21). The concert also commemorates the 400th anniversary of the death of Orlando Gibbons with his fine setting of the Nunc Dimittis from the Second Service.
