The Akron Big Band is a 19-piece, traditionally formatted big band playing music from the 1920s through modern time. The band has grown from a community-based recreational ensemble to a more premiere band playing over a dozen gigs a year primarily in Northeast Ohio. Our music ranges from Basie, Kenton, and Sinatra to the Tower of Power and the Gordon Goodwin Big Phat Band.
