Introduction to Rosemaling Part 3- Detailing/Linework
Thursday October 3rd, 2024 - 8:00-10:30 PM EST
tuition - $27
Welcome to a continuation of the introduction of rosemaling with this class that focuses on Detailing and Linework. This is a class that is great for beginners and for all levels of rosemalers/painters who wish to develop a strong technical foundation and brush control for their artwork. We will be building upon the stroke work from the previous class but you do not need to attend prior classes to be part of this class.
Lise will demonstrate the brushstrokes up close, focusing in on how to hold your brush, direction of your bristles for proper flow of the stroke, mediums, brushes, etc. Any worksheets/practice sheets, supply information, etc. will be provided via pdf files. There will be general discussions about styles of rosemaling, palettes, acrylic and oil paints as well.
This class will be recorded and you will receive the recording via an unlisted YouTube video for you to refer back to. Scans of my work will also be forwarded to the class as well. You do not need to attend this class live in order to receive the recording and extra material sent out with this class.
This class will be taught in acrylics, but oil painters are welcome as well!
