Fred Pearce has been reporting from the frontline of climate change and environmental recovery for over four decades. In his latest book, Despite It All: A Handbook for Climate Hopefuls, he draws on his vast experience to take a realistic look at the global environmental crisis, and to find reason – in fact, seven reasons – for (cautious) hope. 

Fred Pearce is an award-winning journalist who has reported from eighty-seven countries. His many books have been translated into twenty-seven languages.
