To celebrate his newest novel, The Proof Of My Innocence, we’re delighted to welcome one of Britain’s pre-eminent authors and satirists. Jonathan Coe’s many novels have brilliantly charted the unsteady state of our nation for nearly forty years.

Jonathan Coe is the author of fifteen novels, including What a Carve Up!, The Rotters’ Club, Middle England and Bournville. His novels offer a comic social history of Britain during the last forty years, often told through family sagas, and have won him a wide readership abroad, particularly in France where he is an Officier de L’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. The Rotters’ Club was made into a BBC TV series and Mr Wilder and Me, his fictionalisation of episodes in the life of Hollywood director Billy Wilder, has been adapted for the screen by Christopher Hampton. His latest novel is The Proof of My Innocence.
